Good morning lovely’s, I hope you all slept better then I did. This month is the month of love so what better way to start that then with this topic on loving yourself. It is a question that some may look at and be like I am not answering that. Others may look out at it and not know where to start. When I started this journey I looked at questions like this and would ask myself how am I supposed to answer that question? Not because I felt uncomfortable answering the question but because there are so many things that I struggle with when it comes to loving myself. If you are looking at this question and are wondering were to begin, start were you feel comfortable. Yes the question is what is your biggest struggle, but sometimes that question within itself is to much for some to answer first thing. I am going to share mine with you. You guys are welcome to comment and share yours or even if you’d just like to reach out through email and share you can do that as well. My hopes in this is to let you know that you are not alone. This is a safe place, any negativity will be handled right away.
My biggest struggle with loving myself is my weight. I look at myself and I struggle with what I see. This has always been one of my biggest struggles, even when I was a teenager. After being pregnant it wasn’t as bad. but once I would be out of the postpartum stage it would start to show its self again. After having four kids I look at myself and I know that I birthed four beautiful babies! When I sit down and really think about it I only don’t like my weight because I am short and being short it all looks worse on me. Though Id remind myself of this it doesn’t stop the demons from coming. Though I have been working on making this better, its a working process one that doesn’t happen over night.
Things that have helped me in this process is telling myself daily ;
- I am beautiful.
- I am enough.
- I am powerful.
- I am unique.
- I am perfect the way I am.
Try saying these things daily and see if they help you if these 5 don’t work for you then choose a different set, or even just change a few up. Make it work for you. What works for one person may not work for the next, so that is something to remember. I look forward to hearing from you guys and reading what you guys have to say. Remember this is a SAFE place, though if you do not want to post it below you can send me a email and I will respond that way as well.
Guys have a fantastic morning, and remember YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!! Until Next Time My Friends! Thank you for your support. – Alyssa Mills
